Initiative summary:

Aleppo Media Center was set up in 2013 by a group of like-minded citizen journalists. The Centre was initially reporting on the situation in Aleppo, and progressively after Aleppo’s fall it has extended its coverage to the north of Syria.

AMC remains a key source of reliable information in the region: the Centre’s visual and written coverage was recognised by major international news outlets. EED’s support will enable the initiative to establish a training centre for media activists working in the region. The project will focus on visual reporting and peace journalism.
