Initiative summary:

Corruption remains an endemic issue in Ukraine. The education sector is one of the areas suffering from this problem, yet goes largely unaddressed.

To counter this, Osnovy Svidomоsti intends to transform open-air parent meetings into an organised network with the capacity to address this challenge. Osnovy Svidomоsti will also organise alternative parent committees to influence the administration and management of education institutions in Kryviy Rih. The group will also oversee expenditure of funds allocated for public education, and hold various seminars in different parts of Ukraine to promote best practices in fighting corruption and informing parents and citizens about their rights.
