Young Beqaa leaders learn how to hold their government accountable
- Name of organisation / initiative supported: USPEaK
- Start date: 1 December 2013
- End date: 30 November 2014
USPEaK is building a local coalition of eight Civil Society Organisations which engage youth advocates, covering a range of communities, from the Beqaa province.
It will train 18-30 year olds in democratic accountability, monitoring and reporting corruption, requesting transparency at the municipal level, and the use of social media for those purposes. Emphasizing equal citizenship across the sectarian divide, the trainings will result in public debates and will help design and implement advocacy campaigns in Beqaa.
