  • Civil Society Under Russia’s Threat: Building Resilience in Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova

    Join Chatham House and EED for the presentation of Chatham House’s new research paper “Civil Society Under Russia’s Threat: Building Resilience in Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova”. Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova are at the front line of a heated battle for their own future.

  • EED at the sixth edition of the Warsaw Dialogue for Democracy

    The sixth edition of the Warsaw Dialogue for Democracy will take place on 7-8 December 2017 in Warsaw. This year the conference will be held under the theme "Dialogue in democracy, democracy in dialogue".

  • EED at the Global Media Forum 2017

    Building on a positive experience at the Global Media Forum in 2016, the European Endowment for Democracy is yet again travelling to Bonn to contribute to this year's edition of this unique conference by Deutsche Welle. The GMF is dedicated to looking at various topics in the field of foreign policy, future of the media and freedom of expression under an overarching focus theme for 2017 of "Identity and Diversity".

  • Civic activism and democratic values in Eastern Partnership countries

    On the occasion of III Eastern Partnership Days organised by East Poland House, the European Endowment for Democracy (EED) invited three of its grantees to speak about the situation of civic activism in their countries.

  • Money in Politics: “Corruption is universal and affects all countries”

    On 16 September, EED and International IDEA – an intergovernmental organisation that supports democracy worldwide - organised a panel discussion "Money in Politics: Democracy, state-building and corruption in the Eastern Neighbourhood."

  • Celebrating three years of EED

    The European Endowment for Democracy has been working to support civil society actors and democracy activists in the EU Neighbourhood since July 2013. During this period, EED has evolved from a concept put forward by EU Institutions and Member States into a vibrant, innovative member of the democracy support community.
